What is a crypto wallet?

Think of a crypto wallet as a safe for your digital assets. It allows you to store, send and receive ALGO (native currency on our blockchain), NFTs and other Algorand-based tokens securely.

Here's how it works:

1. When you create a wallet, you get a unique address on the Algorand blockchain. It's like a digital mailbox for transactions. This address is public so anyone can see the transactions associated with it.

2. To manage your wallet, you receive a private seed phrase, a series of words that act as your wallet password. Keep this seed phrase safe and private. Anyone with access to it can control you wallet and its funds.

3. Never share you seed phrase and watch out for scams trying to take your information.

4. Always verify the authenticity of websites and applications before connecting and entering sensitive data.

How to log in to EXA Market?

1/ Log in with email address

Email login is powered by Magic.

1. Go to EXA Market, enter you email address and click Continue with email.
2. Check your mailbox, you have received a code.
3. Go back to the EXA Market app, enter the code you have received and click Continue with email.
4. Click Sign to authenticate.
5. 🎉 Congratulations! Your wallet has been successfully created and connected!

💡 Tip: A brand-new wallet has been created for you, you will have to add funds. If you want to access your private key, go to our Magic Portal and authenticate with your email address.

2/ Log in with Pera Wallet

1. Download the Pera Wallet app (mobile only).
2. Select I want to create an account, then Create a new account.
3. Click I understand once you've read the information about the passphrase backup.
4. A 25-word phrase will appear, consisting of your passphrase. Once written down in a secure place, click Next.
5. Pass a quick confirmation test and click Next. Your passphrase is verified. You may have to set a PIN Code. Select the name of you account and click Finish Account Creation.
6. Go to the EXA Market app and click Pera Wallet. Simultaneously, open you Pera Wallet app and click Scan QR. Scan the QR Code that appears on your laptop with your smartphone.
7. Click Connect on your smartphone, then click Sign on your laptop.
8. 🎉 Congratulations! Your wallet has been successfully created and connected!

💡 You can enable biometrics unlock and set a code PIN.

3/ Log in with Defly Wallet

1. Download the Defly Wallet app (available on mobile and desktop)
2. Select “New account”
3. Name your account
4. Select "Create account" (Regardless of which option you move forward with, it is recommended that you create a backup for your account by tapping the "Backup not created" reminder. This will display the mnemonic phrase you can use to recover your account.)
5. Go to EXA Market and click Defly Wallet. Simultaneously, open Defly Wallet and scan the QR Code that appears on your laptop with your smartphone.
6. Click Connect on your smartphone, then click Sign on your laptop.‍
7. 🎉 Congratulations! Your wallet has been successfully connected!

4/ Log in with a social media

Email login is powered by Magic. We will take the example of Twitter but the process can be transposed to any social media.

1. Go to the EXA Market app, enter you email address and click on the Twitter Icon.
2. Authenticate (if your Twitter account is already connected on your browser, authentication won't be necessary).
3. Authorise EXA Market to connect to your Twitter Account by clicking on Authorise app.
4. Click Sign to authenticate on EXA Market.
5. 🎉 Congratulations! Your wallet has been successfully created and connected!

💡 Tip: A brand-new wallet has been created for you, you will have to add funds. If you want to access your private key, go to our Magic Portal and authenticate with your social media account.

⚠️ Note: Do not store your seed phrase on any online cloud storage service and never share it with anyone.

Whenever using a blockchain wallet, ensure you keep secure backups of your Mnemonic seed phrase and never reveal this to anyone. It is best practice to use a hardware solution such as Ledger.
